There’s no safe form of asbestos, and there is no known ‘safe’ level of exposure to asbestos. We need to work for large-scale bans on the use of asbestos.
Asbestos is an anachronistic kind of word – it sounds like a worry of the past. The world itself is practically synonymous with outdated technology that we didn’t know was harmful. (But much like tobacco, their were early signs of the dangers that were suppressed by industry players.)
