While removing an asbestos containing heating system a hazmat worker at Canadian Haz-Mat Environmental discovered a wedding ring that had been lost by a previous caretaker of the cottage 12 – 15 years before.
The caretaker cottage is part of a large ocean-side farm/estate near Brentwood Bay BC. The current caretakers had informed Canadian Haz-Mat Environmental that a wedding ring had fallen down a large floor grate years ago and asked us to keep an eye out for it. Jacob’s perseverance paid off and it was eventually found at the bottom of the furnace among 50+ years of dust and debris. It was left with the current caretakers who are tracking down the owner.
