Above Ground Tanks

Above ground tanks are commonly used for storing heating fuel. With age they have an increased risk of failure and contamination to the ground below. Except as provided in this Part, the design and installation of an aboveground storage tank system connected to an oil-burning appliance and equipment that comes within the scope of CAN/CSA-B139-00, “Installation Code for Oil Burning Equipment” shall be in conformance with that Code. They must also comply with design standards and secondary containment requirements.
