There are 3 ways to sample for mold, surface, bulk and air.
Involve swabbing the contaminated area or using a tape lift to collect the sample.
Collect a quantity of mold usually attached to building materials like drywall.
This is the most complex and can be performed at the start of a project to determine if harmful molds like stachybotrys chartarum are airborne. It can also be done at the end of a remediation project for final clearance purposes to give our clients peace of mind. We use wet agar and 35mm cassettes to sample for mold and can accommodate a wide variety of clients offering both methods.
